Sunset on Lake Mascuppic

These were taken at Lake Mascuppic in Dracut, MA with the camera on my iPhone.  I was passing the lake on my way home and decided to stop to see if I could catch the sunset.  It was a pretty gray day, but the sky lit up for a brief period of time.  The photos below show the stages of this sunset.

Trimming the tree

I wish that I could say that I was ready for the holidays.  There is still time though.

We’ve got the tree up and decorated, but there are still stacks of Christmas cards sitting on the kitchen table.  Most are just waiting to be sealed and stamped, but some require a letter.  That’s the real reason for the hold up and it’s creating Christmas backlog of sorts.   I can’t really get to baking cookies and wrapping gifts until the cards are cleared from the table.  At least that’s the excuse I’m using for now.

So, I’m off to write a few short letters and hopefully get things ready so that the week before Christmas will be enjoyable and not crazy.
